I stumbled across some technical documents for the VH Vantage yesterday, that someone has uploaded.... there a few linked, including the V8 engine specs and original sales brochures etc.

Does anyone know what these in above link were? Were they supplied to Dealers at the time the car was launched, or were they some sort of Factory visit literature? Also are there any more around? smile

They look like information signs for a factory tour that would have been displayed on walls or boards at the particular manufacturing area they referred to. If you look on the LH side you can see a thumbnail map of the Gaydon production area with a "You are here" indicator.

Factory tours used to be a big thing for groups and prospective/actual buyers - when I was there they even hosted PistonHeads! I don't remember those particular boards, but they refer to the 4.3 so may have been removed rather than updated.

Engaging the fanbase, good PR, hearts/minds etc. Do they still do factory tours?

If they believe you intend to buy three Valhallas, they might begin to consider the possibility of a factory tour. - smile

There used to tours for AMOC members, but that seems to have gone quiet now.

You could try asking which is the best airport close to Geydon (changed spelling, because that is usually censored)
for you to land your Learjet 75 Liberty.

I'm not sure that they do. If they don't, then maybe they should resurrect them.

I've been on two tours of the Gaydon factory, both hosted by the excellent and engaging Steve Waddingham. The first was arranged by the now no longer AM Cardiff as part of the deal when I bought an SP10 in 2016, and the second one was a VIP tour arranged by AM Brentwood when I bought my DB9GT in 2018. The VIP tour included a hoon around the Warwickshire countryside in three different models. Not at all sure why they categorised me as a VIP, but hey-ho, I wasn't going to say "No thanks."

I did wonder if the admission fee had gone up to £250K. A company should never lose sight of its roots, especially roots like AMs. Always engage with the public. Don't hide behind a website and don't talk bks. Three handy rules I just invented smile
