Any Taycan JII owners \ users here?
Discussion
Hello,
I'm hoping to get a general feel from PH'ers here on their Gen II Taycan's? We're looking into getting one as a OPC approved used purchase but a couple of my partners colleagues have had absolute nightmares with their Gen I cars (One has had so little use out of the car its only done 2k miles and they want the dealer to make them an offer to take it back, last issues were charging but it left them unable to fast charge while away).
So anyone got 2024 onwards JII and can they share their experiences?
Many thanks in advance.

I have a JII CT4S and have enjoyed each of my 25k miles in it. So far, zero problems and no complaints at all. The only well documented issue is the huge depreciation!
Cheers Jimbo,Figured they'd ironed out a lot of the issues in J II. Sadly SWMBO is getting very itchy feet about any Taycan. Can't say I blame her but the issues are all against the previous gen.
We'll see
Thanks, again
Previously had a j1 TSST, which had a heater and charging issue during my time with it.
Now have a j11 T and so far so good. The main reason for changing was to get the increased battery range, which is around 100 miles more per charge.
The battery tech, motors and software are all improved with the j11, and its faster than the TSST that I had!
Previous car had the HUD which was good, but I can manage without, as I don't have it on the current car.
New car has heated steering wheel, Burmester ICE and insulated glass (makes the car much quieter on the motorway) which IMO are all upgrades worth having.
The Taycan is a great car and drives like a Porsche - there's nothing that competes with it.

Couldn't agree more. My last test drive was of a JII CT 4S was really good. Enough for me to park my need for a 911. Now have a j11 T and so far so good. The main reason for changing was to get the increased battery range, which is around 100 miles more per charge.

I’m interested to know how people feel about their gen 2 cars as well.
Our Gen 1 is now on 53K, but it’s been having so many suspension issues that we’re thinking of changing it. Interestingly its WBAV value has gone up from 27K this time last year to 31K now, so perhaps we’re now in be the ‘value’ range. Bought for 98K and now almost 5 years old so 1117 pcm. I think that’s less than leasing? Anyway, not too bad for a pre-tax purchase.
The drive is very good, but it does struggle to contain its weight in tight corners in my opinion. Fabulous for the meandering A roads though.

What suspension woes Grantstown? I read elsewhere that the fully optioned RWS + PASM + PAR + whatever else can sometimes be a bit wobbly under harder driving?
It’s been a big saga, but it’s been to OPCs at regular intervals for a ‘chassis failure’ warning. Sometimes yellow and sometimes red. Various ‘fixes’ applied. They thought that they’d nailed it this time by replacing a load of sensors, but the came back to us looking like it was a Dakar edition as the ride height was so ridiculously high. It’s very frustrating and a bit of a concern when living with any tech heavy vehicle. Gassing Station | Porsche EVs | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
