For unexciting reasons I have a few grand in my pocket which I don't want to be carrying around all weekend - banks are largely shut obviously.

Where can I safely stick it around central London, anything open?

I think your best bet is going to be a left luggage locker at somewhere like Euston.

Just keep it in your pocket.
If you are paranoid keep it in a pocket separate to your wallet.

tbh even if it was up your arse there's plenty of people there ready to reach up there and steal it from you hehe

Id be keeping it in an inside coat pocket with the zip done up and id keep a few notes in a more obvious pocket incase some fking balaclava wearing nonce does rob you.

Post office sometimes can lodge it in your account.

Book a hotel that has a safe in the rooms (so not a Prem Inn etc).

This. Post Office or an ATM with deposit functionality. If it s a lot of notes then you might need to do multiple transactions, Nationwide IIRC only allow 20 notes or something per envelope, others are probably similar.

What bank are you with & where roughly in London are you?

Walk around with a dose of badass attitude.

Flare your arms out, make large powerful strides and occasionally spit out onto the floor.

I know I see it all hyped up on the media but is it really that bad?

I'd just keep it in my pocket.

Of all the times you've been outside in your life how many of those times have you been mugged?

London isn't as bad as is made out.

Where are you sleeping tonight?

Unless it's in a shop doorway then the place you're sleeping is probably a good bet - whether it's a hotel, your own home or a friend's house.

Find one of those cash for gold type establishments and ask for gold for cash with a guaranteed buy back at the same rate for an admin fee. Eat the gold. Check toilet each time. May need to go through twice before banks open Monday.

If anyone knew what I looked like it might be an issue.
