996 seat height

hi again,

is there a way to lower the drivers seat (996 c4 sports seats) further than the bottomed out position... i.e. can you lower the rails? i'm sure i heard this is possible in the GT3 somewhere??

Yes they can be lowered, I spec`d this mod on my 996, not sure if its a retro fit.Regret I do not have the code to hand but the cost was £300 plus VAT for both seats.

Found the code no/ :XSU, Seats lowered by "approx 10mm", but "not available with bucket seats XSE/XSF "

I thought the lowered seat cost option related to less padding in the seats. If it relates to lower rails I'll be very interested to hear how you get on and the cost of purchase and installation.

apparently the only option available is the 10mm less padding in the seat. (XSU)

you can lower the seats on the rails if you have a GT3 (or just the seats). www.bkauto.com/porsche/aftermarket.php
