It’s the 2nd most exciting day of the year (the other being September 1st)

People picking up their brand new cars, and for some reason it’s fun to see what the first ones we see are

So post your first 26 plates!

I wonder if next door will have a 26 plate when we get home... she always changes cars regularly for the next amorphous blob.

Guarantee there will be at least a handful on my street, mostly from brands ive never heard of but look like knockoff range Rovers.

Parents are getting both theirs delivered today. Totally pointless because they both have dateless private plates and they have gone for exactly the same colour / spec / models of Lexus as last March.

The only plus side I can see of not having to do the first service.

If there was a brand of car not needed to be replaced so often, it would be Lexus.

They are one of the most reliable cars on the road and at 1 year old would hardly even been run in.

Anyway back to topic, I haven't seen any 26 plates yet...

Probably one for the 'Blast from the past' thread, but I remember when we'd be on the lookout for the first new-reg car to have a wire coat hanger jammed in where the aerial should be 'cos some oik had snapped the actual aerial off.

And no, it wasn't me . . .

Brand new 26 plate Ford Kuga ST Line FHEV in Solar Silver, replacing the utter shed of a Ford Focus (06 plate, slush box auto) which was part ex'd.

Saw my first 26 plate today, it was one of those lotus SUV thingies in black. I'm sure it's a nice car but to me, it's not a Lotus, it's just got a Lotus badged slapped on it.

Just curious, but how many miles did they put on last years new cars?

At least it means the RR can get a break from family duties for a while.

And yet probably the most expensive, still shocks me how vans can be so Spartan yet so expensive

My old transit custom from work was 42k plus VAT, didn’t even have alloys or led headlights

I would be very surprised if they did anywhere near 10,000 combined.
