I need a good old tank

Not of the Tommy variety I haven't got time!

I'm looking for bathroom tanking kits, I don't need to go overboard, it's a shower bath with decent tilebacker going on. So I'd do the corner section of the bath.

Mapei kit looks to be the DIY standard, not sure how much you get out of it?

OB1 is a paint on jobby, I'm assuming you need to buy the tape for that.

Anyone else used others for similar jobs in the 50 odd quid budget range?

I recommend BW1. Doesn't need any tape.

Used this stuff, seemed to work well and easy to apply. It like covering your whole wall in silicone.

I would also recommend one of these to seal the bath to the wall before you tile. Check out the reviews. They do a bath version as well.

I like CT1 and ease without tape but it is too expensive for me.

Try BW1.

CT1 is more like a silicone sealant so only comes in a tube. BW1 is a paint on liquid.

I had to modify the installation because my shower tray was too big and had to be cut in under the tile backer board.

I recommend having a very rigid support behind the wall to prevent any flexing.

I've never used any others so can't compare it, but the "Everbuild Aquaseal Wet Room System" was very comprehensive. I'd rather spend a little more time applying more waterproofing than have to redo the whole bathroom in the future because of leaks.

Toss/Tank up between the Mapei and Everbuild I think.
