Long time member, new 986 ownership
Discussion
After owning my previous BMW E36 328i sport for near 24 years I finally made the move, unexpectedly to the Porsche 986 3.2S.
Previously owned by a bit of a social media influencer , I was approached and asked to do a deal, it was to good to reduce so I made the move and to be fair I haven't looked back !
Although still an older car by todays standards it is superb, a real mid engined sports car, a massive amount was spent on it before I took hold, new brake line throughout, new suspension ( Koni & H&R ) , new brakes, tyres,Dansk Sport Exhaust , wheels bearing, and the big bit...... engine top end rebuild. spending her past life being looked after by Hartech and some other know independent porsche specialists she really is in top form !
Cannot wait for the better weather to come along now !

IMG_5125 by Ross driscoll, on FlickrCongrats on your 986. I've had my 2001 3.2 manual since 2008 and I love it to bits. Utterly reliable, a great drive and although not 'fast' by modern standards it has enough to put a smile on the face. Although ours has shared its home with some Italian exotica, I've never gotten bored of it. These days it's spending most of its time ragging around the Italian riviera and it still gets more attention than you'd expect. A real modern classic and easy enough to DIY on maintenance and repairs, enjoy!
