It would appear my sewage pump is on the way out. Again.

Not a saniflow, this is a proper job. The original one went on for about 20 years, I was told by the guy who designed it never to get rid and just get it fixed if it ever broke as it was the Rolls Royce of sewage pumps.

Only problem was when it eventually failed the guy who built them had died and getting it repaired in short order was impossible so I replaced and got rid.

In the past, it has only lifted dirty water that ran off the septic up to a drainage field. Following the failure of the drainage field and my moving to a package treatment plant it will in the next few weeks need to actually deal with lifting solids up to the package treatment plant.

I'm self installing (the PTP is already in, it just needs connecting) so I'm looking for any advice on any makes or specifications I need to look at. Replacing is a pain in the ass so a long term solution is required-no one wants to be dealing with this every five years!

I've got 2 of something similar to this - https://www.ttpumps.com/products/pumps/sewage-pump... . They've only been in about 8 months so can't confirm longevity but from the weight they're built to last!
