It seems that Dudley council have banned any pig like image from its offices for fear of offending people with certain religious beliefs. The ban extends as far as A A Milne's Piglet character.

It seems this was done on the basis of a complaint from one person. From the article:

"The council were asked what was the specific reason, given by the person, for asking for the removal of these item. The council replied:

"It did not matter why it was considered offensive". "

Soooo .... anything or person you want to have banned from a workplace? Short lists might be acceptable.

Short crop-tops made to show off a lovely flat belly - which are generally worn by fat birds showing off their fat belly.
Thongs. Because they look like the string on a piece of brisket (and probably serves a very similar purpose ie. tied around the fat to hold everything in)

Pregnant women should be banned from offices because they make me feel physically sick. Go on, make of it what you want!

Mobile phones - if we're having a conversation, don't be a rude pr!ck and answer the phone to pretend you're really vital to the running of some great scheme, or that the world would stop spinning if you didn't answer it.

Far worse than that, people that leave their mobile on their desk, ringtone set to max volume, whilst in a meeting elsewhere. In my experience it's the more senior people that do this as well. I've certainly taken to switching other peoples' phones off when they do this (their fault if they don't notice it's off when they get back), but it isn't too clever dropping your bosses phone into a mug of coffee, tempting as it may be

So...... if I go to work overseas in a muslum country and complain about something in the office, they will ban it!...........and hey, if you dont like pork, you dont have to eat it. As a vegetarian I find the site of some butchers shops quite revolting, if I complain to Dudly council, will they ban shops displaying meat?

This is OUR bloody country, if you dont like it, dont work there, I'm surprised Snow White has lasted so long in the land of "lets not offend somone, god forbid", whoooops can I still say "God",, or has that been banned as well..

Those who choose to come and live/work in this country should accept our cultures etc.

I personally find those women who almost cover their entire face offensive, do we ban it, no way hosey, god we might offend "Them"

Yes but they allow them to roam free, right? So surely wouldn't like to see them all lined up in a shed waiting for the slaughterhouse

People dialing their desk phone by putting in on loudspeaker, dialling, letting it ring and not picking up the handset until the person at the other end answers.
Long and drawn out discussions about the latest reality/'celebrity'/pop music show on the drivelbox.
Flip floppy sandally things, the noise is enough to try the patience of a saint.
People who come over to your desk to talk about something work related and have a good nose at what's on your screen while they do it.
The above people who creep up quietly, not giving enough time to minimise PH.

Most irritating.

However, when the young chap in my office caught me perusing PH it did initiate a conversation about TVRs and sports cars in general which wasn't such a bad thing. He asked if I was considering buying a Tiv and I casually replied that I'd had one for 3 years. He then asked if he could make me a cup of tea. Result!

Me. I'd love it.

Not because I do any of the things referred to above. It's just that if they banned me from coming in then I could be cracking on with so many more things that I actually want to do.

I do this all the time, no way am I wasting the time spent on hold when I could be surfing PH with the phone on loudspeaker

although i'm the only one in my office so it doesn't affect anyone..

that thing about people who creep up stealthily to my door, gaze through the window and only advertise their presence byknocking some time afterwards...leaving no time to minimise PH/autotrader
