After a number of years without issue, it seems the cold I thought was brewing is early hayfever.

Luckily I have some Benadryl one a day, in the first aid tin and it has reduced the symptoms, but not totally eradicated them.

Anyone else suffering and what is your medication of choice?

Glad its not just me, though I can see the daffs are out and we have blossom on a couple of our trees I am not too surprised mine is kicking off already. Treatment is via an enormous box of tissues (no not like that you filthy bds) and Cetirizine 1 a day tablets, twice a day hehe

Tree pollen starts every February, as soon as the temp hits about 10 deg C in my experience. Straight on to the Loratadine one a days, with a snort of Beconase morning and evening too.

The only bright side of tree pollen allergy is that it's usually over by June for for me so I only suffer all spring, not during summer.

I'd been getting that sort of tickle on palate/throat last couple of days. It's been so mild even up in hills here in Mids that a lot of blossom trees are already out, so I guess there's pollen again. Decided to hit it early with the tablets.

Yep, I started about 10 days ago. Allevia once a day sorts it for me.

I use both Cetrizine and Loratadine each day, as recommended by my doctor. I'm not a glasses wearer, but I do have clear lenses I can swap in if not sunny, so wear those out and about to mititgate pollen getting in my eyes. If that doesn't keep it at bay, I also used a beconase nasal spray.

Yep I have been suffering more recently, just looked at my weather app and tree pollen, which gets me, is "severe" today. I have been sneezing alot more recently and just seem permanently bunged up.

Wondered if we'd have a 2026 thread - a fellow tree pollen afficionado here, mine kicked in about two weeks ago as soon as the temps start to creep up - this is natures signal to all the trees to start coming back to life!

Cetirizine and Loratadine every day here, it seems to take a few days for it start to really have an effect.

2 weeks in, ceterizine once a day, can’t wear my contacts for a few hours in the morning, still able to breath through my nose though so that’s a bonus.

March and April are usually a write off for me.

Normal hayfever tablets weren't really working.

I got some Fexofenadine Hydrochloride from Boots and I am getting some relief at last.

Tablets I’m on working okay, but it does seem they sort of dry your nostrils out - almost feels a bit harsh at times.

Windy ,sunny , dryer and trees starting to do their thing . I have had it for two weeks now . Every year I think , here comes a cold and then I remember.
Jet washing patio yesterday I was convinced I would wake up with full man flu today. I feel fine of course . Last week I noticed the yellow fields already, they generally set me off .

It’s a beautiful year for tree blossoms, but nice as they are to look at, it’s a visual reminder of what triggers many allergies.
