LS2 with Magnacharger - Dyno Chart

Jeff Schwartz is building a Magnacharged LS2 for me. It should be ready in the next 3-4 weeks, as soon as we get Dyno numbers I will post em.

In the meantime Lingenfelter have posted some figures, these are figures at the crank, similar to the way AS do their measurements.

I understand this is a standard LS2 with the "bolt on" intercooled Magnacharger. 560hp@6700 and 500ft/lb peak, with lots of torque accross the range.

I tried to compare what I am getting to what seems to come with the AS engine.... I am getting all the stuff below for just under USD17K....

Crate LS2
Cable Throttle body
PCM including remapping
Magnacharger
Air filter
Manual belt tensioner
Alternator
Setup including Dyno time.

Obviously exhaust and other ancillaries on top, but I think this is comparable to what you get with an AS engine.

I understand there are emissions issues with using a newer engine in the UK and some parts of US, which "forces" builders to consider using engines rebuilt from pre-pollution blocks..... but for similar money you can get a brand new engine that will pass the emissions. Take away the blower and its just over USD10K....is is LS2 prices, the LS1 is cheaper still.

I am forced by local regulations to get emissions compliance and initially would have gone the other way if I could. However, now that I am down the track a little bit, I have found that there are hundreds of guys in the states putting these LS engines into all sorts of cars (see http://www.ls1tech.com), and I dont think it's any more scarey a proposition than a SB.
