Thanks, this trailer looks intriguing and based on it, the show looks to be well made with decent production values.
My first thought however, was “what are two Lanterns, intergalactic policemen extraordinaire, doing investigating a small town murder?” I’m sure we’ll find out, and on pondering this further, the initial trailer and the apparent journey of Hal Jordan and John Stewart in the new show brought to mind a trip that Jordan and Oliver Queen made in DC’s Green Lantern/Green Arrow comic, numbers 85/86, in 1971.
That storyline was considered pretty out there then, certainly for comics, and is a classic of how two cultures within America (the Right, and the counter culture) existed at the same time within the same space, with the attendant contradictions and clashes.
The trailer certainly has that feel visually and stylistically, and given the current culture wars of the present day, could be a modern day revamp.
Or of course, and in all probability given DC’s track record, it won’t be, and will be about aliens and s
t like that.
Either way, I’m in. Shame it's not out until August.

Oh I missed the date! That's a long way off. I believe they're taking stuff from across the entire run, so your comparison sounds spot on. The suit for example was a physical suit towards the beginning of the comic run I believe before being something that manifests itself.
