Car friendly hotels - Caiais to Northern Italy
Discussion
I did a similar trip about 10 years ago, but don't seem to be able to book the same hotels - so looking for other recommendations.
By "car friendly" I mean: Onsite parking, ideally plenty of it - and preferably not valet parking.
Might be flexible on locations, but this is the rough plan (most are a single night, but Como will probably be two):
Luxembourg
Freudenstadt
Como
Levanto (we'll be here for about a week)
Verona
Turin
Geneva
Dijon
Anybody recommend hotels they've used roughly in these areas?

Don’t stay in Como- just find somewhere on the lake, or Lago Maggorie (like Grand Dino).
Personally I’d go via Alsace, stunning place, Le Schoenberg at Riqwihr has a pool and good parking

Previously I ve traveled regularly to Italy via Calais staying overnight. I ve always booked Novotel s or Ibis Styles outside of City Centres.
The car parks have always been secure, although I make sure that I park as far away from other cars as possible.
Thanks - will keep that in mind. The car parks have always been secure, although I make sure that I park as far away from other cars as possible.

On the way back, that's possible - but on the way down I want to be the German side of the border - more specifically, the autobahn side........Gassing Station | Holidays & Travel | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
