Anyone else have a delay on starting ?
Foot on brake and press the start button and nothing , dash is lit up , car is on 370 miles and this is an intermittent problem mainly from cold , almost like the button doesn’t make a connection and I have to try 2 or 3 times before it works .

Worth thinking about how hard you are on the brake pedal. You need to ensure that you push the pedal quite firmly to fully engage the switch.

How do you do?

A) Pressing the Start button and waiting until all the "animations" then pressing the brake and hitting the button again.
B) Pressing the brake and the Start button immediately.

I go with A.

I consider it like older cars with physical key. First press to the button translates into the first/second position of the key (ACC/ON) then second press to the button translates into the third position of the key (START).

My car is stored in a garage without heating. It is just mildly warmer than outside. When there is no rain/snow I drive the car once a week. So far even if the outside temperature was around 3-4°C (probably during the night it was sub zero) I didn't notice a delay with the ignition.

Just unlocking the car wakes mine up, light foot on brake and stab "Go, baby go" button.

The brake pedal switch seems to be a bit prone to failure. I got to the point where I had to stab on the brake pedal multiple times, and feared I'd get stranded. Replacing the switch is a simple DIY job. If I remember rightly you just remove the plastic shroud underneath the steering column, rotate the switch 90 degrees anticlockwise to remove it. Replacing is just the opposite - 5 minutes is all it takes. Switch was about £20

I’ve used the car a couple of times recently and it’s behaving itself ,I’ll report back when it doesn’t , although it’s very annoying that I’d take replacing the brake switch myself over returning it to a main dealer as it would be cheaper !
I’m really hoping it lives up to expectations when it’s run in .
