I understand it was about 20 years ago when these cars were not expensive and pre conversion to KITT.
I only found out about it very recently when pistonheads told me. It did not show up on the report for D11 HOF.
I have had a lot of work done to the car, including the full respray (completed only a few weeks ago) and the professional was also surprised when I told him.
I can only think that it was very minor, like bumper and the insurance company just paid out rather than bothering with the repair.
