coloured wheels? seeking pictures and opinions
Discussion
I've had an idea - i want to change the wheels on my car, but rather than go for BBS LM's or something like that, i thought i might colour code my existing wheels (993tt hollow spokes - super light). Since my car is silver, i thought i might make the centres dark grey (a bit GT2 ish) - something like the 993 version of this:

anyone got any moe pics? opinions? i fancy making my car stand out from all the other silver 993tt's, but love the fact that the standard wheels are light...
thanks,

yeah do it - that sort of smoke grey or maybe black chrome (which is a lot more tasteful than it sounds) is what you want.

:hellyeah: that dark chrome stuff is awesome, looks really loveley, subtle AND deeply shiney. in fact, someone had that done on their 18" spiders over on the cerbera forum and posted the pics, the colour was perfect and looked so ace. do a search, youll see what i mean.
though I guess I'd just also add that I would double and treble check that whatever you do can be undone - as your wheels are basically the dog's b**x already and you wouldn't want to stuff them up.
Alternatively I'll take them off your hands for £100 and you can put that towards a new set. How's that?

I enquired at an OPC about getting mine sprayed Seal Grey and they quoted me about £100 per corner. It would have a looked a bit like this:

Thought i'd get a second set of wheels and have a clean standard set, and a refurb'd coloured set...
General concensus seems positive![]()
How much is a set of hollow spoke 18" turbo alloys? In my looking I've only seen the solid spokers.
I'm more of the view that I'll keep my 17s at the moment, but you never know ...
