Trolley jack pad?
Discussion
I have a low level entry Draper Evolution trolley jack (smashing bit of kit albeit as heavy as a neutron star) and I frequently use it on a tarmac drive. However said tarmac is starting to become buggered by the jack - does anybody use a 'pad' or anything suitable for the trolley jack to operate on? Is a 3ton rated jack lifting a heavy car......
Same. Half an 8' x 4' sheet for me, with a couple of squares for axle stands.
Needs to be bigger than the jack itself to allow the jack to roll, as well as to give a bit of positioning room.
Never had any issues doing that, but if I need to do anything requiring me to actually get under the car then I rent a bay with a ramp for a few hours (see sticky).
