Looking for recommendations for a decent helmet camera. Actually it's not for me but for the missus who has a big hairy bike which I believe is called a horse. Anything horse related is always ridiculously expensive so we thought we'd get some more sensible options on here.
As ever thanks in advance for any thoughts.

Bump? I’ve had a good look at what’s on the market but it seems very polarised between expensive GoPro stuff and cheap Chinese stuff.

I've picked up an insta360 X3 for my other half to use on horse/bike.

She wears it on a mount strap that goes around her horse helmet cover, and will attach to handlebars on bike.

Image stabilisation is good and the 360 view while she's riding is ideal, captures cars coming up behind her too. Footage is limited to 29 minute chunks but the footage restarts (as long as you initiate from the camera and not the app) so you get manageable files.

Thanks for this, do you mind me asking what sort of money you paid for it? There seems to be a wide variation of prices online depending on who you get it from!

I use a drift ghost XL camera.

Decent quality and nice and easy to use.

Thanks for this, had a look at that one, a review I saw said it didn't work in the rain and we get a lot of that where we are! Have you found it OK?

Central Scotland... so deal with rain all the time... never had any issues with mine, but I think the newer ones have better protection - I think you could get a 'rain jacket' for them at one point.
