Wind deflector

I was delighted to see that the new steed came with a wind deflector, but folding in half it has defeated me.

The structure is locked in the unfolded position with a fixed bolt. If I raise the rear section of the deflector slightly the bolt head clears its housing, but then being slightly open you can't fold the deflector...



Short of risking breaking it I'm at a bit stumped. It's not in the manual and I can't find anything on YT. What's the trick please?
