Our 2016 Audi TT cab leaked. Like a bucket of water emptied inside type of leaking. I had to take the driver's seat out and pull/cut out all the sound insulation that was like a huge wet sponge, dry it indoors and put it all back. Despite clearing all the roof drain holes a week later it was wet again. So it sits with a cover over while it rains and does not get used much.

I have that lovely musty smell inside the car, its not too bad and maybe I've just become super sensitive to it but for me its not a good kind of fragrant.

Is it just the last bit of drying out/damp in it that causes the smell and it'll go once total dry or is there something else causing it?

Would be beneficial to dry it out and air it with windows open next time we see some decent weather, Its probably still damp.
If all else fails I have read of people having good results with using ozone generators but not sure if its something a local detailing company may have.
