I have been working my way through the DVD box set of this. It's absolute quality, and amazing how relavent the issues still are. Europe, ID cards, national databases etc.

Some very astute script writing.

One of my all-time faves whilst growing up
This series (and Yes Prime Minister) contain some of the funniest writing around.

I'd love to see a new more modern series of 'Yes Minister', as it is (still) much better than most of the crap on Television now.

I've got them all on DVD - it is sheer brilliance and has probably never been equalled in terms of scripting quality for a sitcom.

Apparently there is an new series coming on BBC4 Wwhich is a cross between yes minister and the office... Looks quite promising on the trailers.

Quality comedy.

It's about time we had some quality satire. I'm always a bit sceptical when something is sold on the success of other things though.

Something along the lines of Spitting Image should do the trick. It isn't like there's a lack of material at the moment.

Thats been on before.. its quite amusing, but not a patch on YM or YPM. Still beats 99pc of the dross on all the rest of the time tho.

I'm a very big 'Blackadder' fan (except for the first series, which is naff IMHO), and I've been told that I'm likely to enjoy 'Yes Minister' as it's written in a similar style.

Haven't got round to actually watching any episodes yet though.

I love Blackadder (not so much the first series either), but Yes Minister / Primeminister is perhaps even more cleverly written.

Simply sublime.
