Hi folks

I know a few of us are West Central Scotland. I've to be in Hamilton for work next week. Is there bike specific parking available near Hamilton Town Centre? Or can you get away with pavement parking?

There are plenty of car parks around that used to have free bike parking.

Not sure how hot they are on pavement parking these days.

Depending on your location, there is a J&S close by that you could park by.

Cheers cueball - J&S is too far out for where I have to go.

South Lanarkshire Council are actively ticketing people parking on kerbs now so don't risk it. Plenty parking available though

Let's be honest - most of the Central belt is a sthole.

Look on the bright side, he could be from Bellshill.

Whenever I go on my travels by bike I always do some research on Google maps of any area/city that I want to park, looking at other bikes parked around the streets.

I always park right in the middle of any big city in Europe for free without any problems.

I went to a wedding there 20 years ago. It was near the refurbed mill in New Lanark. The B&B I stayed in had the river Clyde at the end of the garden. An attractive woman wanted to me to dance with her at the evening do, missed opportunities and me being generally crap. She probably just liked dancing. The couple whose wedding it was may be moving back to Stirling this year.
