There are about 60 members of the TVR Japan Car Club with most owning Chimaeras (of course) but there are also about 5 cerberas and a couple of Tuscans here.
I bought my car just over a year ago here in Tokyo - a 4 ltr Chimaera Clubman (still haven't been able to find out whatexactly the Clubman means so if any one has any good ideas let me know). I paid around GBP 10700. The second hand market is pretty good here. Mine is metalic dark green (I am sure it has a better sounding name in the UK).
Unfortunately there are very few shops here with any knowledge on repairs, tuning, detailing blah blah blah. Still I managed to get out of second gear yesterday which was a thrill. Most speed limits are 50 kph with the freeways at 80. I believe travelling at 3 am is the thing to do.

Since it's well known in the UK that "speed kills" and "a 1% drop in average speed causes a 5% drop in the accident rate", you must have almost a zero accident rate since you all go so slowly. In fact by my reckoning you should have a negative accident rate, with cars un-denting themselves and people miraculously being healed as they drive along. Hmmmm

White was the first Cerbera that went around all the dealers with the faired in lights was white. Anyone got any pictures of it?.
It actually looked great, I wonder wher it is
now?.
The last time I went to the factory on the production line there were at least three Cerbera's 4500 lightweights destined for Japan, I am sure one was Pearl white

I forgot to mention that one of the reasons people go so slow (apart from the fact that only TVR drivers here can drive well) is that the roads are usually built for one car and two telegraph poles (yes they are in the street often on either side of street which makes driving interesting and passing anything bigger than a bicycle nigh on impossible). They often have no footpaths here so you can get extra points for wiping out little old ladies with their shopping carts as they come out from the shops.
