Am I completely mental to consider a used BMW with frozen matte paint for my station/short trips car and 2 kids under 10. Car has lasted 40k miles with previous owner and in good nick.

No existing PPF and don’t want to drop thousands on it. Aware of need to wash in specific way which I am comfortable with and aware chips can be touched in.

I am a little fussy but not that fussy tbh but would welcome opinions (anyone who has it). Internet seems split between “keep car encased in concrete” and “no it is fine what is fuss about”.

Thank you

Cover in a nice glossy ppf so you can wash it as normal.
Or get it clear gloss lacquered.
