Hi all,

As per the title, I’m looking for a reliable automatic under 8k. Happy to go for hybrids too. I have not had a good time with my seat Leon previously. The injectors failed got it repaired and now the dsg gearbox has failed too and there is so much else wrong with it that it’s not worth repairing any more.

I’m looking for a replacement and open to anything reliable and keeps me going. I do short trips 20 miles a day max. With one 180 mile round trip a week to london.

Preferably 2014+ less than 80-90k miles and should last for another 3-4 years at the minimum without headaches.

Cheers thank you.

I'd be looking at electric if you can charge at home

Unfortunately not as I live in a flat. I am trying to work out if it’s cheaper to just charge at public chargers

Toyota Yaris, 1.5h

2015 onwards easily in budget which is the facelift model.

You won't ever want to go back to a badly built German car after.

If you can’t charge at home, it’s almost never worth it, public charging prices are ludicrous.
