Venice - food with kids....
Discussion
My OH is in Venice for the weekend to see an old friend who has her son with her. He is 7, somewhere on the spectrum, and also a picky eater as a result of a cleft palette for which all the corrective surgeries aren't complete.
so its a tricky one food wise. they want nice views and places where the 2 of them can catch up without worrying about him acting up. this is ideal ground for upscale hotel terrace dining if it were anywhere else in the world.
any suggestions? less typical venetian or even an international menu in a venue where there are views and interest for the kid. extra bonus if he can play within a safe environment [hence thinking boundaried hotels].
long shot but who knows, google aint helping much

Now I want some good Italian food ! Those prices looked very reasonable too.Places we enjoyed.
Down a tiny alley we found a tiny cafe and had the best pizza ever.
Then on Burrano we went to a cafe/bar which did the best lasagna I've ever had.
Then one night my wife's ME/CFS kicked in and I went in search of a picnic to bring back to the room. Found a bakery who were just about to close and they made two ham and cheese baguettes. These were the best baguettes ive ever tasted. I looked on Google Street view and im buggered if I can work out where any of them were.

I just remember it from a several years ago - we used to sit there and the kids could play in the square Struggling to think of somewhere kid friendly with views but there is a good place called Osteria Alla Frasca which is on a quiet square.
Failing that - rev up the best credit card and try Quadri or Florian.
Gritti Palace terrace if the weather is OK and the child doesn't have an overwhelming desire to jump in canals.
Edit
Did they like the first place?
