My car is closing on it's 18k service and all is well.

It's been totally, 100% faultless since October last year. It had a 12k service in March at a main dealer. Cost was circa £1k.

Bearing in mind that the values of Tams are hitting a bit of a dip for a range of possible reasons(although god knows why), is it worth getting the 18k service at a main dealer or a good specialist?

I'm near to SFR and they've got a good reputation and I don't doubt for one minute that they'd do a great job...

...BUT the car currently has a full TVRSH - anyone any thoughts on specialist vs main dealer in terms of residuals?

Cheers.

If I was buying the car off you - it would not make a bit of difference to it's resale value. Most of us know that many of the indies actually do a better job than the main dealers.

Worth checking that they know how to adjust S6 tappets and cam chain adjustments though..

Thanks for your reply - that was the gut feel I had.

I really rate my main dealer...but by the sounds of it I've got a good indie on my doorstep.

And it means the money saved can be spent on a new exhaust or something...
