...fortunatley not me, but my bike.

This morning I heard a god-awful crash. Got dressed and went out to see my beloved CBR600RR on it's side. Fortunately the guy that knocked her over left his number.

Initially appeared to not be too much damage, but total for parts is £1266! Knocker and myself very surprised (4 hours labour to go on top of that figure), but it's the plastic that adds up.

Bit list:

New mirrors - £88.04
New indicators - £92.86
New crash bungs - £45.95
Tank cover - £283.53
Seat unit - £221.73
L/H Rear footpeg - £39.99
L/H Footpeg - £32.85
Clutch lever - £11.94
Brake lever - £20.64
New bar end - £9.27
L/H handle Bar - £60.63
L/H Side Fairing Panel - £163.62
Swing arm bobbins - £7.22

All above exclusive of VAT.

The chap wanted to avoid insurance, but I'm guessing he may have to claim on his - how long do the PH massive think this will all take?

If you claim a replacement vehicle hire than I suspect that the process would be substantially quicker given that who is at fault is clear.

What was he in??? A tank?

Glad you are ok. He left it on its side? Barsteward!

I would get an itemised list from a shop and give it to him. If he gives you cash, you could get a good deal from the shop or even get some bits from a breakers.

HE was in a hire car from an accident repair shop! Must've pranged his own car recently. AND it was only a micra, so he must have really been reversing at some speed to knock the bike over the stand onto it's left side.

List being prepared by P&H Motorcycles, should be with me in a day or two. I really hope he does give me cash, as I wanted to change the front indicators anyway.....
