As I had received a pump recall nearly 2 years ago I gambled and ignored it.
I had actioned the first recall back in 2021 and the pump was replaced. This resulted in a ride from home (York) to Manchester and then a separate visit to Litchfield near Tewksbury to have the re-map put back on so I thought I may get away with not doing the second pump.
Sure enough the pump failed, luckily not far from home, so I used our trailer to recover the car.
I was fairly sure it was the pump and then started to find somewhere to do the recall in a reasonable time scale.
After being quoted mid April options by the more northern Alpine centres I had to resort to trailering the car to Banks of Cambridge who sorted the pump and hey presto it ran again.
Serves me right!
Another trip to Litchfield I guess as they wouldn’t do the work without an ecu software update. The car does feel a little flat with the standard map but I guess I could get used to it.

Can I assume that the latest pump has finally sorted the problem?
