Hi, lots of talk about pensions,, but how many check their NI status.
The Gov only counts full years so if you change jobs frequent you could have incomplete years which don't count.
These can be topped up, so check online easy to do.
Make sure you get max state pension.

I'd also suggest checking if your partner is entitled to "Home Responsibility Protection". Mrs C's NI record was boosted by 16 years after I managed to get that added to her NI record.

I checked and I've got loads of years that are not full but I'll still have full entitlement by the time I'm 58 so wasn't worth paying for the missing years.

It's extremely unlikely I'll be retiring any earlier than that, unfortunately.
