I bought a new 360 Spider in September 2004. A factory collection and 2 European tours mean that it has now covered 6500 miles.

Is that too high? Obviously I am concerned about the residual value but I have enjoyed every one of those miles:bounce:

Errrmm ... isn't the point that you should drive the car not look at it in the garage. Don't feel guilty about it. I'm sure you didn't buy the car to make a profit but rather to enjoy. So enjoy it.

just don't enjoy it revving it atound central London

Unfortunatly the more miles put on a Ferrari the more it depreciates.

I'd say drive it as much as you want. Life's too short and the car will depreciate anyway.

PS. Rev it hard...especially in Fullham.

Put 4K on mine in the 1st two months of ownership.

At at least one return trip from Barcelona to Malta, about two returns trips from Barcelona to UK and one from Barcelona to Le Mans planned in the next 12 months so I think I should easily hit 10K pa in it.

I'm not thinking about resell value as you can tell Just drive it and enjoy it.

The 360spider residuals will be hit more by the 430spider than miles I would think.

I've done 2 Euro trips in the last 12 months and 13,000 miles. Drive the thing and be damned to residuals.

Simon355 is the current hero.... brand new Lambo Murcielago last year, 27k miles on at last count

My boss (Gallardo owner) told me a different way of looking at depreciation.

Instead of thinking it as money you've lost, look at it as the cost of the trips and the fun you've had in the car.

Approx 20K in just over 18 months of ownership!!

Got just over 30K on the clock now but hey, you're gonna lose money on it anyway so why not lose a bit more and enjoy the thing

BTW, 19K were done posing up West ...sorry, couldn't resist

Hi Barry

Just drive and enjoy the thing.

Plenty of time to put some more miles on it before next years european trip.

Have you sorted out the big stone chip yet?

Really me! Never realised it had hit that sort of mileage - that is the same as my micra!!!
I remember going around Leeds in the Murci with about 100 miles and 10 days of use! It has gone a long way since!

My 360 has about 17,500 miles on it in nearly 4 years, but for the first 2 years i was in a job where i had no time at all to enjoy myself.

Been making up for it ever since. Selling the 360 ans will be 'supercar' less for a while, but when i get another, i plan to do LOADS of trips in Europe and go exploring ! Dont really want to do thse big organised tours, but another 2 cars or so would be great !

Not a stone chip it was a clumsy doorman lifting the case out at Villa Este (whatever the spelling). Anyway all gone now and the damage just £100 so not too bad.
