As the thread title, was doing 82 in a 70 on that 4-lane stretch of the A1(M) southbound near Alconbury & caught by a mobile camera on the bridge.
No complaints, guilty as charged.

Offence was 25th Feb, NIP dated 4th March, received 7th March.

Evening of 7th, I logged into the Beds/Cams/Herts police BCH "starportal" website as advised.

Entered the Reference No, passcode and vehicle reg & was put through to the declaration form which I filled in and submitted.

Concern is that I haven't had any email confirmation from BCH that I submitted the declaration.
Tried to log in again yesterday to see if there was a record on their site but it said I was providing incorrect details even though they were identical to the three items I originally entered above.

Was wondering if anyone had experienced similar with BCH?

Will try calling them tomorrow but if I don't get through, I might fill in the form in pen and submit that also just in case.

I don't mind points and/or a fine, but don't want it to escalate by being accused of ignoring the request to provide details

Not sure, but if you end up attending a speed awareness course then consider attending a classroom based course as my internet dropped when I did my online course and the guy booted me off the course saying I won’t get another chance and will have to take the points instead. I did manage to convince him to let me back on but it was a nerve wracking experience fearing my internet might drop again.

I stress that I don't KNOW this to be the case but have had similar with other systems.

Because you entered the correct details and completed what you needed to do the system no longer needs to fulfil that function & so that combination of details is no longer valid for data entry.

Please feel free to confirm for your peace of mind but I am pretty sure this is what you will be told.

Several years ago I had a SAC offer after being caught. I applied to do the course. Got refused as "over the time limit to apply" or similar. I phoned to query as this was pretty soon ( almost immediately) after receiving the NIP and proceeding with the SAC offer. The person I spoke to checked the details. They had the wrong date of the offence that was months earlier instead of the correct one. They corrected it and the SAC attended. Human error when inputting the data? I would like to think the system would throw up a warning to check what was being typed in as a verification. Not a difficult thing to put into the software.
I had similar data errors when selling a house. Buyer searches queried certificates for Building Regs work. The Building Regs people had put the wrong address in. Again this was corrected.
Lack of quality checks in the software usually through gaps at the design stage, or software writers not knowing about good practise.
