After the last 2 tunnel runs I have come to the conclusion that my car running a little sluggish and could definately do with a bit of a 'life injection'.
Have just bought me'self new plugs, plug extensions and an ignition coil from ACT (leads seem to be quite new still).
Having read alot of posts on the amount of increased performace such simple new for old replacements can make I am eager to get them in and see this first hand. :bounce:
Anyone had similar performance improvements from small nips/tucks?

The placaebo effect alone will give you another 10 bhp 
I'm going to give the ACT induction kit a go in the near future. To be honest I'm not expecting that much from it but it will tidy the engine bay up and my old induction pipe from AFM to plenum has been pretty well worn by the dipstuck catching it and I'll get a shiny new filter (that no-one but me will see lol)

Shouldn't be too much of a shock if you take it to Austec. Their pricing structure is very competitive.
Btw: lovely looking Chim.
£1200 at Austec - Ouch!!! Picked it up Saturday.
Must say they've done a fantastic job and were mostly correcting bits done poorly at the last service by someone else.
They are very helpful but don't bank on only having to pay out for the basic service cost!

True.
But, luckily, a basic service cost is all I've had to pay out for over the last 3 years. Obviously there's been interim parts to purchase (ie, HT leads, dizzy cap, battery, coil etc), but all in all my 'ickle Pug has cost me more in the first 4 months of ownership than my Tiv has done in the last 12 months!
