XXL Helmets - where to buy/recomendations

Can anyone suggest a good helmet for a big head?! Have hired in the past but having discovered some venues only have 1 or 2 2XL hemets and having to squeeze into
A smaller one if already hired I thought I’d get my own.

Will likely only use 1-2 times a year.

Will need to be full face as convertible cars usually driven.

Would be good if anyone can suggest a helmet and best places to look as seems to be so much choice and want something which is rated to be used for track days and may be useful if also OK for Karting.

Probably budget up to £200 but flexible,
Have been using whatever MSV etc use for years which I’m sure won’t be mega expensive but still meet requirements

Also seems 2XL is not available in all makes so welcome pointing in the right direction. Also good value bag/case to protect.

My massive noggin goes in an xxl OMP helmet from gpr in silverstone, £90ish. Sparco options too, though the omp fit my head shape better. Looks like the sparco x pro goes even larger than the omp.

If you passing by id really recommend trying before buying at some point.

Though, you can get away with a cheaper motorcycle helmet for a once or twice a year usage, get over to your nearest big halfords and try on their largest helmet, probably £60ish.

FYI.
"Rated for track days" is pretty much a misnomer really, unless you are going to go full FIA rated with HANS & pay over £1,000.

Just go into your local bike place & find one that fits, do a bit of research on ratings by all means (as there have been different ones over the years) but my understanding is ECE 22.06 is the latest standard & most bike helmets will fulfil this requirement.

sports bike shop or J&S will have all the choice you need for a cheap helmet.

I'd recommend actually measuring your head and not guessing with t-shirt sizes.

The internal shape of helmets differs from manufacturer to manufacturer, so it is worth trying on as head shape might suit one brand but not another.

I have a giant head and I find the Shoei NXR2 to be the most accommodating. It does depend on the shape of your head, but I would try that if you are struggling to get one to fit.

Thanks for the suggestions of helmets and places to look etc. Will try and get to some shops and try some on if I can as I’m sure the fit will vary as you have said. Also will look for the latest regulation standard so not buying one that may be phased out (although I’ve never noticed helmets being checked at any track days).
