SPA CLASSIC 26
Discussion
I'm looking at going to the Spa Classic in May, hoping for a little advice from those who've been to this meeting.
I've been to the SPA 6 hrs a few times, but it seems the Classic is organised by a different Club, so maybe they have different rules?
Does the Classic offer the free parking behind the start/finish grandstand for classic vehicles like the 6 hrs does? with the shuttle train into the pits?
I've looked on the website but been unable to find a definitive answer.
I'm assuming pit access is as laid back as the 6 hrs is too? Its fantastic to be able to pretty much wander where you like amongst the machinery . . .
do they really run/race that late! ? the 6 hrs goes to about 10pm I think, this meeting timetable has them on track past midnight! . . .
anybody else planning on going this year? I'm aiming for the Wednesday night ferry from Hull to Rotterdam . . . .
thanks . . .

I have been for a few years now, and it is a great event - and superb value at €40/€45 for a 3 day ticket.
As far as I am aware the prime parking positions (inside the circuit and behind the start/finish straight) are reserved for clubs and group bookings, so not sure that individual classics have this option.
Pit access is very open and you can get up close to all of the cars.
And yes they do run that late, although I haven’t stayed until the end!
I am going with a club group of about 20 cars and going out on the Shuttle on the Thursday before, returning on the Monday after. We take over an entire hotel east of Spa and have a very sociable weekend.
