The fuel pump on my 308gtsi 1981 has failed after the car has been stood unused for some years.

The part is unavailable and an alternative part is also unavailable. Original part is Bosch 0580254975 and the aftermarket is Walbro FP 609.

I cannot source either . There is a sort of pump and kit to adapt the system but it is hideously expensive.

Have any other owners had this problem and are able to offer some suggestions

Might be worth looking over on Ferrarichat but the alternate listed for a 308QV 121727 is available and supercedes the same part no as for the i 113976 - Ferrari UK agree and will only charge you £ 250 https://www.ferrariparts.co.uk/part/ferrari/121727... for an ex-stock item - or am I getting this all wrong ?

I ordered that part but the fitting is completely different with some sort of conversion kit at around £600 on top of the pump which just seemed to me to be unacceptable. I also prefer not to mess with fuel pumps because of the fire danger. But thanks for investigating for me.

Do the connectors circled in yellow and red not unscrew?

If so, surely you can fit the original connector to the new pump?

You might need a fitting to convert the threads if they are different, but that should be possible for a lot less than £600
