Not much to go on, but I was wondering where this was taken. I’m sure its London. But does anyone know where?

That's helpful.

I'm heading into London in April and if it's nice thought about giving the TVR a run up from Somerset, thought it would be fun to recreate the photo.

What's the origin of the photo?

I have no idea how to use AI, that's helpful.

I'll look though the service history and see if any of those address' are on the list above. That should nail it, unless it's visiting.

I own the car now, I googled it's reg plate and came up with some pictures of it from the past. It spent a lot of it's life in London.

Hmm.

Any helpful snooping of the user who.posted the picture on whatever platform it was? Other details that might narrow things down, or possibly let you contact them?

I understand the appeal, I have the original owner address from 40-odd years ago for one of my cars (also London, as it happens), and it'd be interesting to get a pic of it back there.

I was going to say Kensington Park Road down to the 2nd floor windows, but the houses in your photo have a bay window on the ground floor.

It's got to be that area though.

I think it was pretty new when this was taken.

I think this is quite a helpful detail - it's only a three storey building (many in the area are four) and the top storey shows what looks like a doorway out on to the bay below whereas most of the buildings have only windows at this level. And it's right on a junction, either T junction or crossroads by the looks of it. has the feel of side roads off of Ladbroke Grove rather than the main drag.

A quick google of the reg brings up your owners thread on here. Scrolling through the thread someone with the username The Fox commented it was their car on N62 XKE, so likely their photo! The profile says they're in London so that matches. They've not posted since but it was 'only' a year ago, so it's possible that the email address attached to their profile is still valid and you can contact them through that, assuming you haven't tried already?

Chat GPT reckons Lansdowne Road but I cant see anything that matches that - but its close in looks.

I've thought of parking a car near to its old owner's address to try to get a reaction. Ideally the owner before the last one. I don't think it's very practical but the thought has occurred to me each time I buy a used car.

Looks bang on to me; TVR parked on the south side of Brunswick Gardens, approximately at the boundary of numbers 53 and 56.

Yes.

Tivvr parked where the blue Saab is parked. Camera man would have been kneeling down next to the tree near the BMW. Photo taken towards the direction of the post box at the bottom of the street.

Definitely looks right to me.

Do you just know the area well, or were there other clues that helped you identify it?
