It appears that oil tankers might not bring enough oil to meets the needs of the UK.
I have already received my fuel ration coupons, so thought driving would continue.

However, I now notice that 1100cc is the engine size limit.
Will Aston Martin perhaps suggest replacing our V8s and V12s with a small capacity Honda vibrator engine?
What can we do?

Assuming you have a V12 6.0, each cylinder is 500cc (unless it's the Honda version where they can be random sizes).

So, you declare two cylinders, totalling 1.0 litre, and say the other 10 cylinders are spares.

My v8 identifies as a v12…I’m sure that could change with a little surgery….😅

I remember my parents being issued with these ration books in 1973. Ultimately not used, but the ration book you got depended on your engine size, with owners of larger engined cars getting more coupons. Each according to his need, etc. Just after the time the books were issued my father sold his Sunbeam Alpine fastback and bought a Triumph 2.5pi which carried an entitlement to a more generous coupon book and I remember my father being miffed that he had been cheated out of coupons. All rather academic as it turned out ....
