UK Nova

So I'm an unhappy Brit fed up with all these Canadian (and US) Comedies which are anything but...

I've been told about UKNova. Is anyone a member. Do you have to have a ratio to stay on there? If so, I'm buggered, unless some sad sod wants to watch 'Corner Gas'.

Also, how do you join? Is it on an invite system? Could anyone help me out ;)

From what I understand about UKNova, your ratio gives you a time delay before you can download something (i.e. a 10hr delay if your ratio is below 0.xxx).

I seem to remember something about uknova also limiting the people who can join...

So just keep trying.

Once you have an account, there are a few grades which determine how much of a delay you get before being able to get new stuff. Keep it above 0.9 (ie. seeding nearly as much as you download) and there's no delay. If your ratio gets ridiculously low, they'll probably delete your account.

been trying for a week or so now Apparently it bins users which havent logged in for a while,,,problem is it does it early-mid morning in the UK, which is in the wee hours here in Canada.

anyone had any luck with becoming memebers to this. 3 of us here in Vancouver all have the sign-up on our homepages and its the last thing I check at night (which is early morning UK) every day, but alas no luck

Yep - they must have just had a purge as I got straight in too

However - I flicked through the first 500 torrents and didn't find anything that interested me even slightly, so if anyone wants a completely new, 100% unused account then PM me for the password and I'll switch it over. I guess it'll be purged in a few days/weeks anyway but in the meantime it's there if anyone wants it.

I signed up mainly for old Mary Whitehouse Experience episodes. Sure I'll find more on there worth getting though.
