Android Auto issue

Just got back from a short holiday and my Android Auto is being carp.
Never had a connection issue previously, I use a wireless dongle to connect (having previously used wired).
Issue is present on both wired and wireless connection.
I get the below message on the car screen but zero instructions on the phone, the AA app on phone just takes me to connection guide, as well as getting a notification on phone that AA is connected but it won't show on car unit.
I've cleared cache on AA, nothing changes.
Phone is a Pixel 8, OS is up to date.
Any bright ideas to get it working again?
