I own my own company and we have an EV leased through the company. Both my wife and I drive it. She's a director of the company but her main employment is with another company.

I don't have a regular place of work. I mainly work from home or abroad so use the car to drive to and from the airport and for occasional meetings around the UK. She uses the car to commute to her normal place of work (alongside the other car which she has and is the main driver on)

I'm struggling to work out if I need to insure it for social, domestic, pleasure and commuting, or business use for me only, or business use for spouse. There's not an option for business use for me and commuting for my spouse, and I'm not entirely sure that airport journey count as business use (although I am going to the airport to travel on business)

Any advice much appreciated.

You need business use as you use it to travel to different places for business, not just to a normal place of work. This will usually include cover for commuting by your wife.

You definitely need business for you, so if there's only an option for business for all I'd just add that. It won't add much if anything to the premium if my experience is anything to go by.

You normally have to specify how much business mileage so I'd just include what you use, and not the wife as hers is just commuting.

As above the difference between adding commuting and business use was negligible for me.

Is the car insured in the business's name?

Some companies are OK with personal policies on leased company cars, but many aren't.
