Yes, the controversial General Motors EV1 - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/General_Motors_EV1

The only EV1 to have been sold: https://www.theautopian.com/how-the-only-gm-ev1-ev...

is being restored with the help of General Motors.

The first three videos are finding the car, purchasing it and stripping it down for restoration, as well as some prep work. Episodes four and five are at General Motors.

Just to say thanks for posting the history of the EV1 is really interesting, it feel GM were almost embarrassed by the project (and the prospect of having to provide spares for 15 years) that they shut it down leaving EVs to start ups like Tesla.

GM had it so right with how this looks and the form factor as an urban commuter type vehicle, that I can't help but feel that Tesla should build something like this whilst we wait for the mythical, higher end Roadster 2.0.

Realtively small, good for an interesting local runabout and could be a 90s homage in the way the CT is an 80s sci-fi throwback.
