Hosted by Tina Fey, it’s promoted as an American Show being imported from America and in my opinion it should have stayed there. Billed as a Comedy Sketch Show, but I would say the word “Comedy” has been stretched somewhat.
A series of excruciating Sketches, seem to have the studio audience in stitches after every line, but I found it absolutely terrible. I fast forwarded it, hoping it might improve but no such luck. We seem to be lacking in comic actors and script writers. Sketches portraying the likes of Trump, Starmer and Lammy were embarrassing awful.
Don’t waste an hour of your Saturday evenings.

I don't have sky so haven't seen the show but I did see that it was widely mocked on 'the socials' when it was announced.

Instagram, tik tok, X and also Facebook (to an extent) provide vehicles for short, sharp laughs, and I think that comedy has simply evolved so sketch shows are not working because the talent is elsewhere. There are loads of very funny sketches all over social media - people like Josh Pugh, Al Nash (who I saw is on SNLUK), durk & ski, Alistair Green etc.

I'd absolutely love a return to the 90s/early 2000s with shows of the calibre of The Fast Show, Big Train etc but I just can't see it happening.
