Anyone know the routing of wire from solenoid
Discussion
Hi Folks,
The hot start issue has now become a cold start issue where the car either wont start or only just starts (the key hits the IGN point and then there is a bit of delay before the starter fires up).
The spade connector on the wire to the solenoid (the low-amp wire) is pretty loose so I want to change that out and replace the cable run as I believe it may be heat damaged and could do with a larger cross-section anyhow to reduce volt drop to the solenoid.
Was going to just change the connector but expecting the wire to be corroded and hardly any free wire to cut back to find a clean bit before it disappears into a black conduit. Removing the starter would give more access maybe.
Thinking I will probably never be able to pull it back through the conduit so probably run a whole new cable but not sure where it originates from. Presume it is the immobiliser. Does anyone know where this cable originates from please?
