G31 530d parking sensors not working

The parking sensors on my 2021 530d Touring have stopped working. When pulling up at a wall, I get a message suggesting my sensors may be dirty. Similarly, when I select reverse, the reversing camera comes on, then is quickly replaced by the message suggesting dirty sensors.
I have checked that all sensors appear to be in good order.
Is there any way I can identify which if any of the sensors is faulty or if there is another reason for them not working. Would a fault code reader identify a failed sensor?
I have read that the RAM unit could be an issue, sounds expensive, does anyone have any experience of that?
