As the title says, slight complication is that I'm in rural Dorset if that makes a difference.

And one is a fat bike so a bit niche.

I used to do OK on eBay but five out of the last six have sold on Facebook Marketplace. Sure you get a few morons but it’s fairly easy to avoid them.

Sold a few recently on FB marketplace and shared with my local club and buy and sell groups

Pretty decent selling , sold one to a lovely couple & no fees.

I take great pics, a good honest description and price them fairly (cheap)

I could have sold both bikes five times over, maybe they were too cheap, but I still made a decent profit on one after using it for a year and the other one was a fair price.

Thanks, thought it might be Facebook. I'm not on there but could sign up but is it going to cause issues being a noob? I could use my wife's if it is.

sold my last 2 on ebay no problems. 1 came and collected the other posted. much better now they do fee free sales. FB marketplace enquiries always feel a bit dodgy - barely any questions and straight to asking to come and see it and your address.

Yeah fair point, I usually have a chat before hand to suss out the sts, ive often sold bikes and bike bits to friend/friends of friends - if it was more than a grand Id probably go straight to ebay as a seller . Then again FB is easy to list it.

Anything thats more niche / specialised (no pun) I put on ebay, I find the list process on Ebay bit of a pain, or at least it used to be a couple of years ago.

If I was looking for a fairly ordinary bike locally, I'd definitely look at gumtree.
