While I am generally a sports car owner, I have also had several touring cars. Perhaps the most unusual was a Jensen CV8 - fiberglass body, big block Chrysler driveline, 4 wheel disc brakes. A tad nervous making when pulling out to pass in a right hand drive car, in a left hand drive jurisdiction (Canada in my case).

I further modified mine by building an improved 383 engine with high compression and six-pack carb set up

Mine is sitting in my garage waiting for its turn to live again. I think it’s quite patient though; we believe it was last on the road in the late 70’s.

It too will receive rather exotic induction.

These are great cars as are the later Jensens

Below is a photo of one I saw at a meeting in Limerick a couple of years ago

It was in excellent condition

My late friend had a lovely CV 8 - which even sported a CV8 plate , at least it did until he was made an offer he couldn't refuse . I remember going down the A 1 , four up earlyon a Sunday morning at a steady 100mph , and watching the fuel gauge drop. We even went to a RWYB day at Melbourne drag strip , J in the CV8 and me in my Caterham , where the Jensen turned easy low 15 sec ss quarters and stimulated huge interest , because nobody under 60 had a clue what it was
