I need to replace the cartridge in this tap. The instructions say remove the grub screw on the back in the tap handle and then pull the handle upwards. Simple right? Wrong. No matter how hard I pull it won’t budge. It’s not limescale. The inline valve on the hot water supply to the tap doesn’t work so there is a little bit of gravity water pressure but it’s only a trickle. I can’t believe the water pressure is holding it in place. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

Don't think I've ever seen that type. The ones I am familiar with, you leave it in the middle and pull straight up, rotate it so it lines up with blue line and pull?

Only other thought is it twists off.

Thanks zb I’ll see if that makes a difference tomorrow. It’s got to be something obvious but I can’t for the life of me think what. I’m literally pulling so hard I can feel the sink trying to move.
