I cut my silver birch pretty heavy. Probably far too much. It looks dead but I see 2 tiny shoots on the top and when I cut a branch it drips sap out. Also using my moisture reader I get 26% which is the same as the young silver birch next to it which is growing rapidly. So my question is will it grow back or have I put it into an early death. Tree is about 10 years old ish.

Well there's only one way to find out - leave it and see. Stop cutting branches!

its a silver birch, it will come back from nothing, and far quicker than you ever expect.

They do tend to die eventually but that's more like 60-70 years, you've just cut it back a bit hard and it will probably grow back fine.
