Hi all
I've got a 2016 model & I intend to change the clear side indicator lenses on the front wings for the smoked variety.
Does anyone know if this can be achieved by prising the lens away from the wing as opposed to having to remove the front wheels & splashguards?
Thanks
James

There is an additional note at the end:-

I did this without jacking and wheel removal. I turned the steering wheel full lock left and only removed 3 wheel wheel liner retaining torx screws to gain access. One that is level with the repeater and the ones above and below that one. Tight squeeze but with your information on how it disconnects was able to do it by feel.

Removing the side repeter is the opposite of fitting ......push and twist, that is fine for fitting as the repeter housing will have no doubt been lubed up with a drop of washing up liquid.
The chances of removal this way are pretty slim as the unit will have collected a bit of dirt on the back side plus there is nothing, of the front lense to grip, plus the units have a tendencey to break (personal experience) as the plastic becomes very brittle, best go the wheel and liner off route. If I remember correctaly the wire to the repeter is a pretty snug length.

I am not familier with all the types of coulour lenses and whether or not the smoked units you refer to come as AM model specific. The very first fitment of the clear repeter unit was from a Ford Connect van, sutably modified, to take into account the extra thickness of the material that the wing is made of.

Don't be scared of removing the wheel arch liners. It's a pain, but best way to get access and not difficult. I have had mine off many times.
Best way to get access to the indicator repeaters.
